An ER doctor, and four members of the Phoenix Fire Department decided to create a better solution to providing medic support for wildland fires. 

The inital founders deployed themselves as medics while begging and bartering to trade fire department shifts with their co-workers 

In 2012, they expanded their deployment bases to Arizona and Montana, increasing their ability to competitively service the Western US for wildland, industrial, and special event medical services
